Self Seal Tag - 58 kHz AM

These widely-used security tags combine an alarming element or circuit within a plastic "Security Protected" over wrap sealing the product as well as causing it to activate an alarm at the exit if removed from a store without deactivation. 100 million units per annum are used in retail to protect items such as CDs, DVDs, perfume and boxed items. The Self Seal Tag can also be customised with specific warnings or brands.

The Self Seal Tag™ AM is used to protect items from theft by combining a Acousto-Magnetic (AM) EAS security tag with a plastic over-wrap, printed with the words "Security Protected". The Self Seal Tag AM is used to seal the consumer product in its packaging. The Self Seal Label looks the same as the Self Seal Tag AM but has no active EAS element. However, to a thief it looks virtually the same as the active tag. Retailers and Source Tagging providers use it as part of a fractional tagging program. TAG Self Seal Label.pdf (451 Kb)
