TAG Company International introduces new RF Round Label and new Self Seal Tag with EAS anti-tamper technology.

February 2005 (London, United Kingdom) – TAG Company International, a leading provider of solutions to combat retail theft, today officially launched the new 8.2 MHz RF Round Label and announced a major development in their market-leading Self Seal Tag (SS Tag™) programme.

Both solutions benefit from a new round form factor to delay the time to successfully tamper or remove from in-store merchandise, maximizing the operational and cost effectiveness of EAS alarm systems at retail entry-exit points.  In addition, the RF Round Label, which is significantly smaller than the standard 4cmx4cm version, delivers the same level of detection.

The new Self Seal Tag also benefits from optional anti-tamper technology; employing security slits to provide clear visual proof of any attempt to illicitly remove the label.  These slits also detach, leaving the alarming tag in place if physically tampered with, adding a further level of deterrence.  The new Self Seal Tag, which is used as both a self-adhesive closure and alarming label, is seen as a major step forward in the fight against retail theft.
