National Retail Security Survey from University of Florida
Retail loss prevention executives engage in a constant battle to detect and prevent inventory shrinkage. Shrinkage (or shortage) are the financial losses attributable to a combination of employee theft, shoplifting, administrative error, and vendor fraud. In order to overcome the problems associated with shrinkage information regarding the prevalence of the problem, sources of the loss, obstacles other firms encounter, as well as a way to identify and employ "best practice" strategies. The National Retail Security Survey (NRSS) is intended to provide loss prevention executives with the most current market-specific information to assist in their continuing efforts to limit inventory shrinkage and financial losses.

The 2007 National Retail Security Survey Final Report is now available electronically. Please send an email to Dr. Hollinger (rhollin@crim.ufl.edu) with your name, title, address, and company and he will email you the link and password allowing you to open the file.
